1. BorderManager 3.9 service pack 2 is available.
2. Novell working on a BorderManager for Linux version. The announcement is due 'soon' (as of March 2009).
I'm almost finished with a new book I've been working on. The title is still up in the air, but for now I'll call it "A Beginner's Guide to Common Network Services". The book covers configuring DHCP, DNS and (very simple) web services on NetWare (6.5), Linux (SLES10 and OES2), and Windows (2003 for now). I'm looking for proofreaders who would not mind thoroughly checking out a section or a chapter or more in the book for typos, grammatical errors, and content.
I've meant to mention this somewhere, and for now I'll do it here. If you are seeing multiple abends on a BM 3.8 or 3.9 server, and it seems usually related to proxy (but not always), check patches against tip #1 here. If you see a mention of LSL in an abend message, you very likely need to install the wsock6o patch if you are at NW65SP7. But the NW65SP8 patch should fix it.
